My Pregnancy Diary: Day before birth

The day started out with contractions starting at 8 am.  They were about 10 minutes apart.  Adam went to work, because I knew that nothing would happen during the day.  My girlfriend Sarah and her 10 month old came up to Santa Barbara, from Ventura to spend some time with me, and keep me distracted from the pain and discomfort of the contractions.  We went to go get some lunch and ice cream downtown.  

Once Adam got home from work around 7pm, we ate some dinner, and laid down for a while.  The contractions really started to get painful around 11:30.  I called my mom, told her what my status was, and that it was probably pretty likely that something was going to happen soon.

My Pregnancy Diary: 39 Weeks

The baby is about 20 inches long, and weighs about 7 pounds.  She is the size of a mini watermelon.  

My Pregnancy Diary: 38 Weeks

The baby is about 19 1/2 inches long, and weighs about 6.8 pounds.  She is the size of a leek.

My Pregnancy Diary: 37 Weeks

The baby is about 19 inches long, and weighs about 6 1/3 pounds.  She is about the size of a stock of Swiss Chard.

I am also considered full term.

My Pregnancy Diary: 33 Weeks

The baby is about 17 inches long and weighs about 4 pounds.  She is about the size of a pineapple.

My Pregnancy Diary: 28 Weeks

The baby is about 14.8 inches tall and weighs about 2 pounds.  She is about the size of a Chinese cabbage.

My Pregnancy Diary: 25 Weeks

The baby is about 13 1/2 inches tall, and weighs about a pound and a half.  She is about the size of a rutabaga.  

My Pregnancy Diary: 22 Weeks

So I'm 22 Weeks today.  (or 5 1/2 months)

Feeling pretty big, and having a lot of acid reflux.  The baby is still the size of a Spaghetti Squash, 8 inches and about 1 pound.  

My Pregnancy Diary: 21 Weeks

I'm at 21 weeks and 4 days today. Our baby girl is the size of a Spaghetti Squash, or 8 inches, and about 1pound.

To give an update, my morning sickness is completely gone. But it was quickly replaced by acid reflux. I have also been experiencing some pain in my ligaments on my side and below my belly, the ligaments that hold the baby in place.

I had a doctors appointment last week, and it went really well. I've only gained 12 lbs, which is really great weight gain. I'm excited about that, pretty much everything I've gained is baby.

I'm also feeling the baby move pretty consistently now. Actually as we speak, I think she has the hiccups. it's pretty incredible to feel her move. The movements are still small, so it's hard to feel it from the outside, so Adam hasn't felt her yet.

Adam has been AWESOME. He is so supportive, always making sure I get enough rest and am comfortable.

We have started on the nursery. We were given a crib-actually the crib that I originally wanted, from a friend of ours, and it's already set up. I found some great fabric, and am going to make the bedding set to match our colors. And we get the mattress at the end of this week! I'm looking into getting a swivel chair, and dressers. We should have it all set up in time for the baby shower in June.

Today I'm 18 weeks and 4 days.  The baby is the size of a Mango.

We had our ultrasound appointment this morning, to find out what we are having........ and we are having a GIRL!!!!!

My Pregnancy Diary - Week 13

So I am officially in the 2nd Trimester!!! Its pretty exciting!  I just hope that the morning sickness and the nauseous feelings go away.  I had a Doctors appointment on Monday - where I got to hear the heart beat for the first time.  It was awesome.  The doc said it was a very healthy heart beat.  

Yesterday (Wednesday) I had another appointment for genetic screening.  I got to see the baby again, haven't seen the baby in about a month.  It was really cool - the baby did a fill back flip on the ultrasound and was moving a lot.  Then it settled down, and stayed still for some more pictures. The doc said that the baby looked completely healthy and that everything was developing as it should.  My next appointment will be at 16 weeks with my regular doctor and then at 18 weeks we will find out if the baby is a boy or a girl!  Here are the pics from yesterday:

3rd Ultrasound

Here is a picture of the 3rd ultrasound.

I am 9 weeks along, and feeling very pregnant.  Morning sickness is in full effect, and pretty difficult to deal with.  I'm very tired, most of the day.  But hangin in there. 

2nd Ultrasound

Here are pictures of the second ultrasound that I had on Friday.  We got an official due date and found out how far along I am.

We are 5 weeks along, and our Due date is August 16, 2012

First Baby Ultrasound!

I went to the doctors today, to get my first ultrasound of our growing baby.  The doctor isn't sure what week I'm at yet, because its too small to tell.  I'm going back on the 30th to get another ultrasound, see the baby, hear the heartbeat, and get the due date.

He/She is just a little peanut right now, but is growing fast, and letting me know that he/she is there.  

We've got news!!!!!!

Thats right, we have BIG news!  We are pregnant!!!!!!

I will be updating this blog a lot more frequently with updates and pictures.
