Oh September...

My month is really filling up for September.  This weekend we were in Simi Valley, visiting with Adam's parents and brothers.  We stopped by and had dinner with Pam's mother, who is very ill.  It was good to see her and the rest of the family that was in town from Nevada and Texas.  Adam and I always enjoy having hour long discussions with Steve (Adam's brother) about all sorts of topics.  The topic this weekend was evolution.

This week is going to be pretty busy.  I'm helping out with my mom's business, and I want to get everything up and running as soon as possible.  They just moved offices too, we got them moved on Friday.  The new office is so nice!  Tons of room, but not too much.

Next weekend is Sarah's baby shower, and I can't wait!  I want to make her a gift, hopefully I can get some time to actually do it!

The weekend after next is Cara's Birthday party and Laura's going away party all rolled into one.  So that will be a big night.

Then to end the month is Emily's birthday.  Hopefully we can get some deals somewhere nice for a mini vacation and have a celebration.

I'm also working on my hardcover and online cookbook.  I really want it to be done before Christmas.

So thats the update from here.  Hope everyone is doing well.

Talk later.

Awesome House Warming Gift from my Sister

My amazing sister sent me this soap dispenser for my kitchen as our house warming gift.  You can find it on amazon.com.  It even has a little spot for a scrubby!!!!   Now just need to find cute colored scrubbies.

Garage Project

So we have been brainstorming all the stuff that we want to do to improve our new place.  We took on the project of painting our garage floor with epoxy.  Its a huge project, clearing all the stuff out, then cleaning the floor, letting it dry, cleaning it again, letting it dry and then painting it.  It's so worth it in the end, and now its so easy to keep the garage floor clean.  It is inexpensive, but it does take like a full week.  If we could do it over again, we would do two coats, which is recommended.  Here are the before and after pictures.

Pics of our Condo - We've moved in!!!

Here are some pics of our place with all of our furniture and belongings in place.  Its always going to be a work in progress, but its about 85% done.  :)

Our new Condo!!!!

I never thought that it would be possible to buy a home in Santa Barbara, but it was always my dream.  When we found this listing, from Adam's co worker, Joe I feel in love with this condo.  It was a long process but it was so worth it.  Overall it took about 6 months from start to finish.  We had a great team of people who helped us along the way.  Our realtor, Kevin Goodwin really helped us through the mountains of paperwork and the steps.  Kelly Marsh, our mortgage broker helped us get the best loan.

We are still getting everything settled, arranging everything.  But I still need to decide where the pictures go, and a few last pieces of furniture to get.  Here are some pictures before we moved in.
